I work with different mental health diagnoses, conditions, or situations including but not limited to:
Depressive Disorders: feelings of sadness, hopelessness, worthlessness, lack of energy, and loss of interest in activities.
Anxiety Disorders: excessive fear, worry, and apprehension, which may cause panic attacks, social anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive behaviors.
ADHD: difficulty focusing, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and forgetfulness.
Bipolar Disorders: episodes of mania or hypomania (extreme highs) and depression (extreme lows).
Eating Disorders: distorted body image, preoccupation with food and weight, and abnormal eating habits.
Trauma and Stressor Related Disorders: flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, and avoidance of situations that may trigger memories of past trauma.
Self-Harm Behaviors: deliberate injury to oneself, such as cutting, burning, or hitting.
Relationship Issues: difficulties in communication, trust, intimacy, and conflict resolution with partners, family, or friends.
Parenting: challenges related to raising children, such as behavioral problems, communication issues, and stress management.
Personality Disorders: persistent patterns of behavior, thought, and emotion that cause significant distress and impair functioning in personal and social contexts.
All these conditions or diagnoses can manifest in various symptoms, such as insomnia and other sleep disturbances that affect different stages of the sleep cycle. Other common symptoms include excessive impulsivity, difficulty focusing and staying on tasks, feeling overwhelmed, experiencing relationship issues, feeling a range of negative emotions like anger, worry, regret, sadness, or shame, experiencing changes in eating patterns such as overeating or undereating, turning to self-medicating, using alcohol or substances, feeling a lack of motivation or energy, wanting to avoid social situations and interactions, losing interest in activities that used to be enjoyable, and much more.
